Improving Schools With Design Thinking
Colegio Banting faced the challenge of preparing students from diverse backgrounds -- many lacking the means to pay for an education -- to compete for entry into the best universities in the world. Prior to adopting technology, Colegio Banting had no formal IT system or department. Students didn’t even have email, and their teachers couldn’t reach them out of school hours.
We used creative problem solving to find affordable, high-quality, easy-to-use collaborative tools that students could use both on campus and at home. We combined own technology development, high-quality platforms and a financial strategy to equip students with devices that would allow students, teachers, parents and administrators to easily access shared information. In doing so, they would improve students’ access to learning and help familiarize them with technology, even if they didn’t have access to a computer at home.

Enhance creativity with technology.
Solve problems with strategic design.
Can this learning with innovative tools take place in an enjoyable environment in which students can learn by doing, and allow them to discover new things along the way? That is the challenge to solve.
